ARLINGTON

Arlington is a dynamic and diverse community in the heart of the Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex. It is large enough to be home to Major League Baseball's, Texas Rangers and General Motors yet retains its small town feel in most all areas, some of which has farm and ranch land still in use
For many years, Arlington grew as a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth due to its central location between the big cities and the educational opportunities at UTA. Along with this a developing business economy of its own, affordable land and hometown feel, made many feel that Arlington was the perfect suburban community, and it still is. However, make no mistake, with its progressive development and its close proximity to DFW International Airport, Arlington has grown into a major city itself and with suburbs to call its own.
In Arlington one will find every opportunity that can be found to live the American Dream. Employment options and progressive economic development abound. A strong and diversified economy from technology, tourism, aviation, medical, manufacturing, construction, service and retail industries is served by corporations as well as thousands of small business owners. We have a well-managed local government that is fair, easy to work with and makes every effort to work with residents and business alike.
Quality of lifestyle is abundant and available to all. Plentiful land, beautiful neighborhoods, low taxes, gorgeous parks, excellent schools, and quality medical facilities are all assets of our community. Our warm summers and mild winters make life comfortable and allow for year round enjoyment of any outdoor activity.
Entertainment of all kind can be found either in Arlington or nearby Fort Worth and Dallas. There is plentiful and diverse dining, world-renowned arts facilities including museums of all types, music, orchestra, opera, dance, and theatre. There are world-class zoos. Every professional sport league calls the DFW Metroplex home, along with motor sports, rodeo, and regular tour stops for golf and tennis.
For the weekend warriors, if you play it, we have it. Amateur sports leagues for all abound, year round. Nearby boating, fishing and hunting opportunities will satisfy even the most seasoned of outdoor enthusiasts.
As you can see, Arlington has a lot to offer everyone. If you could combine the greatest things about America, you would end up with Arlington, Texas. Twenty-first century vision combined with the sense of community found in a Norman Rockwell painting is what makes Arlington such a special place.

FORT WORTH
"Fort Worth's historic downtown has been burnished to a sheen, and world-class museums, concert halls, and gourmet restaurants with a distinctive Texas twang line the reconstructed streets."
- The Boston Globe (2/26/03)

Cattle. Railroads. Oil. These are the mental images most people conjure of historic Fort Worth, once an army outpost of the American West. Today, a modern, growing, bustling Fort Worth celebrates its colorful past while embracing a vibrant present and exciting future. And while the city still nurtures its original industries, it is now also known for aviation, logistics, defense, and technology.
The half-million people of Fort Worth are genuinely friendly, spirited and quite diverse. Fort Worth is consistently ranked among the top places in the nation to work, live and do business. Why? The economy is strong and people love their jobs, but they also know when it's time to relax, have fun and enjoy all the city has to offer.
Whether born here or newly arrived, Fort Worth is home in every sense of the word, with affordable, high-quality living; a thriving, diverse business environment; outstanding education from kindergarten through college; a temperate climate; popular attractions; sophisticated fine art; community solidarity; renowned performing arts; and a bustling downtown that is the pride of its citizens and a model for cities across the nation.

Fort Worth Points of Interest
A stranger to Fort Worth would instantly see why we love it here. We have world-renowned museums, an incredible zoo, and a restored downtown and transportation center. For the sports minded, there is an overgenerous supply of affordable golf courses and great public parks, rivers and lakes. Yearly events include the Main Street Arts Festival in April, and May fest in May. From the soon to open new Modern museum, to Pioneer days in the historic stockyards, Fort Worth has it all. First class entertainment via the Bass Performance, Hellcats, Manana and a score of other theatre groups, keep evenings filled with exciting possibilities. Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor are top rated family entertainment complexes and are located nearby. Spend a week in Fort Worth and you'll consider spending a lifetime.

Real Estate Tips
Selling Your Home >Open House

If your home has been on the market for a few weeks, your real estate agent may suggest an "open house." Your agent puts up signs, gives you some pointers about how to prepare your home for showing and shows up early on Sunday morning. You may be tempted to stay around, but the best advice is to leave while your home is being shown!

When sellers are present at an open house, they can hamper the sales professional's ability to cultivate interested buyers, and can even squelch a sale. What would your response be, for instance, if someone strolls into your kitchen and says, "What awful wallpaper!" If prospective buyers know that you as the owner are present, they might feel reluctant to express their objections and concerns openly and directly to your agent. If your objective is to get your home SOLD, the best thing to do is to get out of the way and let the sales professional do the job.
